A friend sent me a picture this morning, of a rattlesnake ready to strike, hidden among some beautiful wild flowers. It inspred the following poem:
Some Flowers Have Fangs
Watch your step,
And how you drive,
Life has dangers,
You must survive.
When you walk,
Must stay alert;
Avoid the things,
You know can hurt.
When you're driving,
Other people strange;
Among the flowers,
Watch for fangs.
All that glitters,
Is not gold;
Don’t believe,
All you are told.
Things look so good,
When seen from far;
Don't sell your soul,
To chase that star.
Guard your family,
Kids and wife;
Bless your husband,
Drop the strife.
What God has said,
You can trust;
To learn his Word,
Is life's great "must".
Watch your step,
And where you dive;
The traps of life,
You can survive.
Some things glitter.
But they're not gold
Don't "buy in"
To all you're sold.
If slick man's tale,
Predicts great things;
Among the flowers;
Watch for fangs!
